Sigfrido Ranucci embroiled in Report newsroom power struggle

Italian journalist Sigfrido Ranucci, host of the investigative TV program Report, is at the centre of two overlapping controversies. New revelations disclosed by La Verità identify a third woman, referred to as “Lavinia” and initials L.C., who has appeared as a guest on Report about twenty times since 2024 and is described as a former CISL trade‑union employee. The reports also cite Ranucci’s alleged comments about “Masonry and mafia inside Rai” and a series of Facebook exchanges concerning local issues in Rocca Massima.

At the same time, journalists from Report are reportedly forming an internal editorial committee dubbed the “soviet of Teulada.” The group, led by longtime collaborators Giorgio Mottola and Giulio Valesini, has been approved unanimously to decide future investigations and broadcast schedules, with a planned relaunch of the programme in November. Ranucci is said to view the move as an attempt to sideline him and prepare for a post‑Ranucci era.
