Brazilian towns set up fan zones and street screenings for World Cup matches

Sigma Lithium partnered with local municipalities to create "fan parks" in Taquaral (Itinga district) and Araçuaí, installing large screens, children’s attractions and artisan fairs. The initiative gathered about 200 people in Taquaral and 600 in Araçuaí, and is expected to continue for all Brazil matches, affecting roughly 80,000 families in the Vale do Jequitinhonha region.

In Cuiabá, the municipal "Minha Rua é Show de Bola" campaign expanded to six streets for the Brazil‑Scotland match, adding tents, chairs and water stations. Residents submitted videos of decorated streets, and the mayor confirmed the continued use of the four previous locations plus two new ones selected by popular vote.

A separate program by the municipal Solidarity Economy Secretariat supported eight women artisans producing World Cup‑themed items such as pet apparel, scarves and key‑chains. Sales rose by more than 50 % during the tournament, highlighting the economic boost for informal producers.
