Silesia hosts major events for senior citizens

Various regional initiatives in Poland are focusing on the social integration and health of the elderly population. In Chorzów, the Silver Silesia 2026 grand finale was held at the Silesian Stadium on September 9. The event aimed to promote healthy lifestyles and social participation, featuring discussions on the needs of an aging society. Attendees included regional authorities, such as Silesian Voivode Marek Wójcik and Marshal Wojciech Saługa.

Simultaneously, the Senioriada 2026 festival is taking place in Ruda Śląska at the Nowy Bytom summer resort. The event features music, dance, and artistic performances designed to encourage active living among seniors. In addition to entertainment, the festival provides information booths from institutions like ZUS and various medical clinics, offering health and cosmetic advice to participants.
