Silesia residents participate in national emergency response training

As part of a nationwide response training initiative, approximately 100 meetings were held in the Silesian Voivodeship on August 29 to educate residents on safety protocols during emergencies. The central event in the region took place at the Market Square in Katowice as part of the III Life Saving Festival.

Organized by the Academy of Civil Protection and Defense, the training focused on practical skills, such as recognizing alarm signals, verifying official communications, and preparing evacuation backpacks. Participants were taught the ‘three steps to safety’: recognize the signal, check the official message, and determine the appropriate reaction. The sessions also provided information on locating shelters and how to prepare essential supplies for rapid evacuation.
