Silver Frame Film Festival launches third edition in Srebrenica and Bratunac

The third edition of the Silver Frame Film Festival will run from July 16 to 19 in the Bosnian towns of Srebrenica and Bratunac. The four‑day event features a programme of feature and short films, competitive selections, workshops, masterclass lectures and an open‑air cinema along the Drina River.

A new component, the Silver Frame Doc Academy, brings together young European documentary makers who, with international mentors, will produce four films inspired by local stories and lives. The festival also continues its Green Film Residency, focusing on ecology and sustainable development, allowing young creators to develop projects in direct collaboration with the community.

International partners include the Embassy of Italy in Sarajevo, Doxumentale Berlin, the Goethe‑Institut in Bosnia‑Herzegovina, the Institut Français de Bosnie‑Herzégovine, MedFilm Festival Rome and the Sarajevo Film Festival. Organised by the Citizens' Association Admon Film in cooperation with the EMMAUS International Solidarity Forum, the festival aims to foster cultural exchange, education and a sense of community in an area without permanent cinema facilities.
