Bogotá hosts major events in agribusiness, technology, and urban renewal

Bogotá is hosting several major events focused on economic development, innovation, and culture. The Expo Agrofuturo 2026 will take place in October, aiming to connect over 350 companies with investors to capitalize on Colombia’s growing agricultural exports, which reached US$1.408 billion in January 2026.

In the technology sector, Invest in Bogotá is participating in GoFest 2026 to link startups with venture capital, following a year where local emerging companies captured USD 704 million. Additionally, the Crad Art Fest 2026 will convene digital art and animation professionals in September.

Urban and social development initiatives are also prominent. The Bronx Distrito Creativo will host the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Cities Network Meeting in September, showcasing urban renewal projects in the former ‘La L’ sector. Meanwhile, the city continues to promote community engagement through the Festival de Verano 2026 at Simón Bolívar Park and various regional sporting competitions, including the Intercollegiate Games in Huila and a national judo ranking event in Cúcuta.
