Simon Leviev to launch new dating app following Netflix notoriety

Simon Leviev, the individual featured in the Netflix documentary ‘The Tinder Swindler’, has announced plans to launch his own dating application. This move follows a permanent ban from Tinder, the platform where he was accused of defrauding multiple women of millions of pounds by posing as a wealthy diamond heir.

In recent interviews, the 35-year-old Israeli national expressed no remorse for the actions depicted in the documentary. Leviev stated that the notoriety brought by the film has been beneficial, remarking, ‘The Tinder Swindler is the best thing that ever happened to me. Call me a swindler, call me whatever you want. I don’t care. At the end of the day, I’m laughing my way to the bank.’

Leviev also addressed the women who participated in the documentary, claiming that both he and the accusers have profited from the publicity. While the documentary detailed how he allegedly manipulated women between 2017 and 2019, Leviev has not faced criminal charges for those specific allegations. He previously served a 15-month prison sentence for theft and forgery related to incidents from 2011.
