Simone Gbagbo addresses mass resignations within MGC

Simone Gbagbo, president of the Mouvement des générations capables (MGC), has addressed the ongoing exodus of high-ranking members from her party. The political movement has seen over one hundred departures in the last three months.

The wave of resignations began in mid-July with the departure of the first vice-president and spokesperson, Professor Klognimban Dominique Traoré. This was followed by the collective exit of 57 officials from the Abobo 3 regional coordination in July, and subsequent departures in August involving cabinet members, regional vice-presidents, and numerous coordinators across the North and Lagunes regions.

Gbagbo is currently in France to install European representatives for the party in an effort to reorganize and revitalize the formation following these losses.
