Simple Energy announces upcoming Wave family electric scooter

Bengaluru-based EV startup Simple Energy has announced the name of its upcoming family electric scooter, the ‘Simple Wave’. The official launch is scheduled for September 2, 2026, in Bengaluru.

Moving away from the performance-oriented focus of its previous models, the Wave is designed for the commuter segment, prioritizing comfort, practicality, and shared journeys. The company stated the name was inspired by nature, specifically the hydrodynamic movement of dolphins, to reflect effortless mobility and inclusivity.

The scooter is expected to be the brand’s most affordable model to date. While specific technical details regarding battery capacity and range have not been released, spy images suggest the vehicle will feature a flat single-piece seat, telescopic front suspension, dual-shock rear suspension, and a TFT instrument console. It aims to compete with existing models such as the Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, and Yamaha EC06.
