Simple Energy launches Simple Wave electric scooter in India

Simple Energy has launched the Simple Wave, a new electric scooter designed for the Indian family scooter segment. The model is available in six variants across the S, Wave, and Wave+ lines, with prices starting from approximately $1,200.

The scooter offers various battery and motor configurations. Depending on the chosen battery (ranging from 2.2 kWh to 5 kWh), the driving range varies from 110 km to 243 km. Top-tier models feature a 5 kWh battery and a maximum speed of 90 km/h. High-end versions include advanced features such as traction control, regenerative braking, hill-start assist, a reverse mode, and a walk mode.

Designed for practicality, the Simple Wave provides significant storage capacity, with a total of 70 liters including a 63-liter under-seat compartment. The vehicle is built with a steel tube frame, 12-inch wheels, and a combination braking system (CBS). The premium version supports fast charging, capable of reaching 80% capacity in about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
