SIMV launches interactive financial education program in Dominican Republic

The Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores (SIMV) has launched ‘Operación Inversión’, an interactive financial education initiative held in shopping centers across the Distrito Nacional. The program aims to bring complex financial concepts to the general public through immersive experiences, including theatrical performances.

Through 15 scheduled functions at Galería 360, Downtown Center, and Ágora Mall, the initiative addresses everyday financial issues such as investments, scams, social media misinformation, and the risks of impulsive decision-making. Superintendent Ernesto Bournigal Read stated that the goal is to empower citizens to make more informed decisions regarding their assets and to promote a better understanding of the Dominican securities market.
