Sin Fronteras migrant caravan begins march from Tapachula

A migrant group known as the ‘Sin Fronteras’ caravan has begun traveling through Chiapas, Mexico, toward the center of the country. The contingent, composed of approximately 200 to 500 individuals, consists primarily of people from Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.

Many participants are families traveling with children and adolescents. The group entered Mexico via the Rodolfo Robles international bridge in Suchiate, coming from Guatemala, and initially gathered in Tapachula. Some members of the caravan have expressed intentions to continue their journey toward the United States despite potential risks of detention or deportation.

Local authorities, including Civil Protection paramedics, have provided medical assistance at gathering points such as Bicentenario Park. Health services offered include medical consultations, malaria detection tests, and vaccinations against measles and rubella to support the group during their transit.
