Sinaloa authorities strengthen water quality and sanitary prevention
The Secretariat of Welfare and Sustainable Development (SEBIDES), through the State Commission of Potable Water and Sewerage of Sinaloa, held its third working meeting with the state's 20 water boards. This meeting follows a collaboration agreement between CEAPAS and COEPRISS.
The objective of the session was to strengthen response capacities for potential sanitary emergencies and ensure the supply of potable water to the population of Sinaloa. Participants reviewed historical examples of sanitary emergencies in water supply systems to promote preventive measures. Additionally, a workshop was conducted regarding the Official Mexican Standard NOM-179-SSA1-2020 to enhance technical and regulatory knowledge concerning water quality for human consumption.
