Sinaloa experiences intermittent rains and flooding risks in Culiacán

Culiacán and various municipalities in Sinaloa have experienced intermittent and intensifying rainfall. Reports indicate that light to moderate rains have caused minor flooding and water accumulation in several neighborhoods, including Campiña, El Barrio, Guadalupe Victoria, Villas del Real, Miguel Hidalgo, and Las Quintas.

The State Civil Protection Institute has issued warnings regarding potential moderate to heavy precipitation, which may be accompanied by electrical activity and wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour. While some areas have seen light showers, there is a risk of more intense rainfall in southern and mountainous regions.

Authorities advise residents to remain vigilant to weather changes, avoid driving through deep puddles to prevent getting stranded, and monitor rising river levels. Despite the precipitation, temperatures in the region are expected to remain high, ranging between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius.
