Sinaloa reports 81% progress in school supply distribution program
The Sinaloa Secretariat of Public Education and Culture (SEPyC) has announced that the program for the free distribution of uniforms, sports footwear, and school supplies for the 2026-2027 school cycle has reached an 81.06% completion rate.
Secretary Gloria Himelda Félix Niebla urged parents and guardians to utilize the benefit before the November 14 deadline. The program aims to support a total enrollment of 481,690 basic education students, including those in preschool, primary, indigenous primary, and secondary education.
Officials noted that while current progress is slightly lower than the 91.86% coverage achieved in the previous cycle, the figures are expected to rise as supplies are distributed to migrant children and students in marginalized areas through the National Council for Educational Development (CONAFE).
