Sinaloa sees Welfare secretary resign and Women secretary appointed

Omar López Campos stepped down as head of the Sinaloa Secretariat of Welfare and Sustainable Development to register in Mexico City as a candidate for the internal Morena coordination of the 4th Transformation. In a social‑media message he thanked the first government of the transformation in the state, expressed support for President‑elect Claudia Sheinbaum, and pledged to work for the state's and country's transformation.

Governor Yeraldine Bonilla Valverde swore in Brenda García Félix as the new Secretary of Women after the previous secretary left for a Senate seat. García Félix, formerly director of the Instituto de Capacitación para el Trabajo de Sinaloa (ICATSIN), said she will continue strengthening existing programs such as the 20 Centros Libre and the Tejedoras de la Patria initiative, and will cooperate with federal women‑focused policies.
