Sinaloa transitions toward industrial economy to increase resilience

Sinaloa's Secretary of Economy, Diego Aguerrebere Espitia, announced that the state is transitioning from a primary economy toward increased industrial activity. This shift, which is consolidating in the north and expanding into the south of the state, aims to create a more resilient economy capable of withstanding external shocks such as climatic events.

During the ‘Escala MX’ training program in Guasave, Aguerrebere Espitia emphasized that industrialization provides opportunities across various business sectors. He encouraged local entrepreneurs to integrate into new investment cycles to strengthen the regional economy.

In addition to industrial growth, the state government is addressing immediate local challenges. Aguerrebere Espitia met with Guasave Municipal President Cecilia Ramírez Montoya to discuss support for businesses in the city center currently affected by drainage and pavement construction works. The Secretary indicated plans to coordinate with CANACO to assist merchants facing difficulties due to these infrastructure projects.
