Sindh Home Minister appears before judicial commission in Mir Raza murder case

Sindh Home Minister Zia Ul Haq Lanjar appeared before a judicial commission investigating the murder of young trader Mir Raza Ali. During the proceedings, Lanjar offered an unconditional apology on behalf of himself and the Sindh government for alleged interference in the commission's work. He assured the commission, led by Justice Umar Sayal, that the government would provide full cooperation without obstruction.

Justice Sayal expressed concerns regarding the conduct of the Advocate General Sindh's office, noting that staff had allegedly attempted to interfere with the commission's proceedings. The commission aims to address the concerns of the victim's family and ensure a transparent investigation.

In a separate development regarding the forensic investigation, authorities reported that a shell casing recovered from the crime scene did not match the pistol used by the security guard. Additionally, forensic analysis of Mir Raza Ali's smartwatch failed to yield decisive evidence to assist in the investigation. The victim's legal counsel has raised questions regarding the timing of the forensic reports and the transparency of the evidence provided to the family.
