Singapore Airlines delays flights due to Anak Krakatau eruption

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has delayed six flights between Singapore and Jakarta on September 8, 2026, due to the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau. The disruptions affect three flights from Singapore to Jakarta and three return flights from Jakarta to Singapore.

To manage the impact, the airline has prepared eight additional flights to assist in moving affected passengers, though seat availability remains a consideration. SIA has advised passengers to monitor their flight status closely, as the volcanic eruption conditions are evolving and schedules may be subject to further adjustments.
