Singapore Airlines named World’s Best Airline at 2026 Skytrax Awards

Singapore Airlines has been named the ‘World’s Best Airline’ at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards. This marks the sixth time the carrier has secured the top title. The airline also earned accolades for Best Airline in Asia, World’s Best Economy Class, and Best Economy Class Onboard Catering.

Qatar Airways finished in second place, ending its two-year run at the top. Qatar Airways secured several other awards, including its 13th win for Best Business Class and the inaugural award for Best Onboard Wi-Fi. Cathay Pacific took third place, followed by ANA All Nippon Airways in fourth and Turkish Airlines in fifth.

The awards, often referred to as the ‘Oscars of the aviation industry’, are based on a global passenger satisfaction survey involving over 24 million travelers. The results highlight a continued dominance of Asian and Middle Eastern carriers in the premium aviation sector, while European airlines like Turkish Airlines and Air France secured notable regional and category-specific honors.
