Singapore International Film Festival announces 37th edition

The 37th Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) is scheduled to take place from 21 October to 1 November 2026. Supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the festival will open with the South Korean thriller “The Assassin(s),” featuring actors Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-il, and Lee Min-ho.

This edition aims to highlight respected Asian talent and introduce new presentation formats, an intuitive ticketing platform, and an expanded industry programme. SGIFF will also feature a free-to-attend section focused on the intersection of creativity and technology.

Notable honors include the Screen Icon Award for Aamir Khan and a Cinema Honorary Award for Hirokazu Koreeda. The festival’s “In Conversation With” series will host public dialogues with various industry figures, including South Korean actor Shim Eun-kyung and Hong Kong filmmakers Peter Chan and Anthony Wong.
