37th Singapore International Film Festival

Overview

The 37th Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) is scheduled to run from October 21 to November 1, 2026. Supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the festival will open with the South Korean thriller ‘The Assassin(s)’.

This edition aims to highlight respected Asian talent and introduce new presentation formats, an intuitive ticketing platform, and an expanded industry programme. A free-to-attend section will also focus on the intersection of creativity and technology.

Notable honors include the Screen Icon Award for Bollywood actor and filmmaker Aamir Khan and a Cinema Honorary Award for Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda. As part of the festival, there will be a special presentation marking the 25th anniversary of the film ‘Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India’, with Khan attending alongside director Ashutosh Gowariker.

The festival’s ‘In Conversation With’ series will host public dialogues with industry figures, including South Korean actor Shim Eun-kyung and Hong Kong filmmakers Peter Chan and Anthony Wong.
