Singapore investment in Vietnam reaches $7.5 billion in early 2026
Singapore has emerged as the leading investor in Vietnam for the first seven months of 2026, contributing $7.5 billion, which represents 35.6% of the country's total registered investment. This surge follows the upgrade of bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2025.
Singapore currently ranks as Vietnam's second-largest foreign investor, with over 4,500 valid projects and a total registered capital of approximately $97 billion. Investment is concentrated in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, finance, and high technology.
A key driver of this economic relationship is the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) network, which has expanded to 26 parks covering more than 14,300 hectares. Recent developments include the approval of the VSIP Da Nang project, covering nearly 250 hectares. Other major Singaporean entities active in the region include Keppel Land, CapitaLand, Sembcorp Development, and Frasers Property.
