Singapore real estate market shows mixed trends in Q3 2026
Singapore's property market experienced divergent trends in the third quarter of 2026. HDB resale prices declined by 0.2% quarter-on-quarter and 0.6% year-on-year. However, a recent policy change removing the 15-month wait-out period for private property owners purchasing non-subsidised resale flats has sparked renewed interest from homeowners looking to right-size.
In the industrial sector, prices and rents rose due to resilient demand and low interest rates. The industrial property price index climbed 1% quarter-on-quarter and 4.2% year-on-year, while the rental index rose 0.5% quarter-on-quarter and 2.1% year-on-year. Despite these gains, the overall occupancy rate dipped slightly to 88.9%, influenced by tenants vacating older factories for redevelopment and weaker demand in suburban business parks.
