Singer Hoàng Dũng performs with mother on traditional Tay music stage

Singer Hoàng Dũng recently performed a musical piece titled ‘Tich tich tinh tang’ on the program ‘Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai’, incorporating traditional Tay ethnic culture. The performance was inspired by the folk tale of Thạch Sanh and featured his mother, Associate Professor Dr. Hoàng Thị Chiên.

Dr. Hoàng Thị Chiên, a former chemistry lecturer at Thai Nguyen University of Education, is now an artisan with the Then Suối Ngàn group. During the performance, she joined the stage to perform ‘Then’ singing and play the ‘đàn tính’ instrument. This marked the first time the singer shared a major stage with his mother, whom he credits as a significant influence on his passion for the arts.
