Singer Leonardo completes 30-day alcohol abstinence period
Brazilian singer Leonardo has completed a 30-day period of alcohol abstinence following medical recommendations. The decision was made after routine exams revealed elevated triglyceride levels, prompting doctors to suggest a strict diet and a temporary cessation of alcohol consumption.
During the month-long hiatus, Leonardo's wife, Poliana Rocha, noted visible changes in his appearance, including weight loss and a less swollen face. On Monday, September 28, Leonardo underwent new blood tests in Goiânia to monitor his levels and determine if he could resume drinking.
Upon reaching the 30-day mark, Leonardo celebrated by returning to beer, jokingly stating on social media that the experience was difficult and that he would not repeat such a strict regimen, remarking, “I prefer to be a happy fat person than a sad thin one.” The transformation drew attention from singer Ana Castela, who commented on his changed appearance, and his family, who supported his health efforts.
