Sinj commemorates 35th anniversary of JNA barracks attacks
In Sinj, local officials and veterans gathered to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the attack on the former Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) barracks and the start of the armed defense of the Cetina region. The ceremonies included laying wreaths and lighting candles to honor fallen defenders Ivan Kamber and Luka Erceg at the former Kula and Ivaniša Nelipić barracks.
The commemorations concluded with a memorial mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Sinj. The events recalled the actions of August 25, 1991, when Croatian defenders responded to attacks on Kijevo and Vrlika by targeting the Kula and Tadija Anušić barracks in Sinj and blockading the Kukuzovac military training ground.
