Sinković brothers head to Amsterdam for World Rowing Championships

Croatian Olympic rowers Martin and Valent Sinković are traveling to Amsterdam for the World Rowing Championships, which begin on Monday, August 24. The brothers are competing in the men's coxless pair, a discipline in which they previously set a world record at the Bosbaan in 2014.

After a season spent in the coxless four, the Sinković brothers returned to the coxless pair this year. Their season has seen varied results, including a 13th-place finish at the World Cup in Seville, a gold medal at the World Cup in Plovdiv with a record-breaking time, and a bronze medal at the European Championships in Varese.

Competition in the discipline is highly contested this season, with four different winners across the major senior events leading up to the championships. Notable competitors include the Dutch pair from the Seville World Cup, the Belgian duo from the Lucerne World Cup, and the Serbian pair who recently won the European title.
