Sint Maarten and Netherlands discuss digital cooperation

Sint Maarten and the Netherlands are exploring enhanced cooperation in digital transformation, cybersecurity, and public-sector modernization. Following high-level discussions in The Hague, Sint Maarten’s Minister Plenipotentiary, Gracita R. Arrindell, met with Dutch Minister for the Digital Economy and Sovereignty, Willemijn Aerdts.

The talks focused on several key areas, including digital identity, the alignment of government systems, and increasing digital resilience. These efforts aim to strengthen public-sector standards and make government services more accessible and secure for residents and businesses in Sint Maarten.

Both parties emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue and the exchange of expertise and knowledge. This meeting was part of a series of discussions held by Minister Aerdts with Plenipotentiary Ministers from Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten to address shared interests within the Kingdom.
