SITA to acquire CAE's Flightscape for US$500 million

SITA has agreed to acquire Flightscape, the airline operations software business of CAE Inc., in a deal with an enterprise value of US$500 million. The acquisition aims to enhance SITA’s ability to provide operational decision-making tools that help airlines manage flight planning, crew management, and ground activities.

By integrating Flightscape’s solutions, which are currently used by more than 90 airlines, SITA intends to help the aviation industry better anticipate and recover from operational disruptions. CAE CEO Matthew Bromberg stated that the sale will allow the company to sharpen its focus on its core civil and defence businesses.

The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals and other standard closing conditions. Flightscape is expected to continue its regular operations until the deal is finalized.
