SITA aviation technology acquisitions
Overview
SITA has entered into multiple agreements to expand its aviation technology portfolio through strategic acquisitions.
In mid-October 2026, SITA reached an agreement to acquire Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions. This move is intended to integrate SITA’s communications and IT business with expertise in passenger processing, baggage handling, and terminal operations. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2027.
Following this, SITA agreed to acquire Flightscape, the airline operations software business of CAE Inc., for an enterprise value of US$500 million. This acquisition aims to bolster SITA’s operational decision-making tools for flight planning, crew management, and ground activities. This deal is also expected to close in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals.
