Site Creation survey shows 36% of smartphone users use BNPL services

A survey conducted by Site Creation Co., Ltd. regarding smartphone payment habits reveals that 36% of respondents have experience using buy now, pay later (BNPL) services. Among those who have used BNPL services, Paidy was the most common provider at 12%, followed by PayPay Credit at 11% and V-Preca at 5%.

The study also identified a correlation between BNPL usage and the purchase of gift cards or digital gifts. Specifically, 52.8% of BNPL users reported having experience purchasing gift cards, compared to only 23.4% of those who have not used BNPL services. The survey was conducted among 100 smartphone users aged 18 and older.
