Erciyes tourism expands with major hotel and infrastructure projects

Tourism infrastructure is expanding in the Erciyes region of Kayseri, Turkey. A major new project, Xperia Luxury Erciyes, is currently under construction and is intended to become the mountain hotel with the highest bed capacity in Europe.

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç stated that these investments aim to transform the ski center into a year-round, 12-month tourism destination. Recent infrastructure improvements include a new 2,500-vehicle capacity parking lot and an 8.2-kilometer bypass road to improve accessibility.

In addition to large-scale developments, the region offers local culinary experiences. The H2650 Cafe and Restaurant, located at an altitude of 2,636 meters in the Hacılar Kapı area, serves traditional lamb roasted over wood fire for eight hours, using livestock raised naturally on the Erciyes plateaus.

Meanwhile, mountaineering activity continues at Cilo Reşko, where a group of international and domestic climbers recently reached the 4,135-meter summit.
