Sivas hosts Children's Climate Summit workshop

As part of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change COP31 initiatives, a Children's Climate Summit provincial meeting and student workshop was held in Sivas, Turkey. The event took place at the Sivas Teachers' House and was attended by Deputy Governor İlhami Doğan, National Education Director Fatih Erdoğan, teachers, and students.

During the workshop, 98 students gathered across 14 working tables to discuss environmental issues, their causes, and their impacts. The primary goal of the program was to increase children's awareness regarding the fight against climate change and to provide a platform for them to develop and share solution proposals for environmental problems.

Following informative presentations on climate change, students participated in team-based activities and group studies guided by moderator teachers. The students shared their observations and evaluations of their local environment, developing ideas and creating posters to present their findings to other participants.
