SixTONES' Matsumura Hokuto Leads New Drama “Confession – 25th Year Secret”

Japanese TV network Nippon TV will debut the Saturday night drama “Confession – 25th Year Secret” in July. The series stars SixTONES member Matsumura Hokuto in his first solo lead role, portraying Snow Village Shouta, a man who has harbored a 25‑year‑long unrequited love for his childhood acquaintance Naoe Mariko. The plot intertwines themes of love and obsession with a 25‑year‑old kidnapping case that resurfaced.

The supporting cast includes Shiori Kubo as PR staff Hashimoto Ryo, Kosuke Yamashita as sales employee Sano Takumi, Atomu Shukugawa as the secretary of Mariko’s father, and Mitsuko Oka as the founder of the cosmetics company at the story’s center. Yōji Tanaka appears as the perpetrator of the historic child‑kidnapping case, a key figure whose past actions drive the suspense.

The drama is scheduled for weekly broadcast on Saturday evenings at 21:00, aiming to blend romance, thriller, and corporate intrigue.
