SK Telecom expands robotics ecosystem with eight physical AI startups

SK Telecom hosted a ‘Physical AI & Robotics Startup Roundtable’ at its SK Serin building in Jongno, Seoul, bringing together senior executives of SK Group and the CEOs of eight domestic physical AI and robotics startups – Gauss Labs, RealWorld, Machinax, C&M Robotics, WeRobotics, Yuil Robotics, Config Intelligence and Holiday Robotics. The companies discussed joint projects that combine SK’s AI semiconductors, data‑center capacity and digital‑twin platforms with the startups’ technologies, which span humanoid, wearable, collaborative industrial robots and robot foundation models. Participants focused on collaborative field trials in manufacturing, logistics and services, and on building robot‑learning data sets within digital‑twin environments. SK Telecom said the partnership aims to accelerate the commercialization of research‑stage physical AI solutions and to create an open, full‑stack AI ecosystem in South Korea.
