Skechers and Jysk advance major European logistics projects

Skechers has partially commenced operations at its new European distribution center located in the Fontaine zone near Liege Airport. The facility, a joint venture between Weerts Logistics Parks and Montea, will cover 250,000 square meters, with Skechers occupying approximately 230,000 square meters. Automation installation by Knapp is scheduled to begin in phases through 2028 to facilitate a transition from existing warehouses in Milmort.

In the Netherlands, Jysk has reached a milestone with the structural completion of its 147,000-square-meter distribution center in Lelystad. The facility features two 46-meter-high automated high-bay warehouses with 166,000 pallet positions. While the physical structure is complete, the integration of automation systems from partners such as Körber and voestalpine is ongoing to support both retail and e-commerce flows. Jysk expects to begin using the front of the building in September.
