Skechers European logistics expansion
Overview
Skechers is expanding its European logistics footprint through the development of a large-scale automated distribution center in the Fontaine zone near Liege Airport, Belgium. The facility, a joint venture between Weerts Logistics Parks and Montea, will cover approximately 230,000 square meters.
To manage high volumes, Skechers has partnered with Austrian automation specialist KNAPP to implement an integrated intralogistics platform and one of the world’s largest Evo-Shuttle systems. This project aims to address capacity constraints at the company’s existing Milmort warehouse. While operations have partially commenced, full automation installation is scheduled through 2028, with a complete go-live expected by mid-2030.
