Skechers launches AERO Elite high-performance running shoe

Skechers has launched the AERO Elite, marking the company’s entry into the high-performance ‘super shoe’ segment. Designed for competitive athletics ranging from 5km races to marathons, the model is described by Catherine Zou, Senior Director of Product Development, as the brand’s most technically advanced running shoe to date.

The footwear features an ultralight construction, weighing 167 grams for the men’s model and 142 grams for the women’s. Key technical specifications include Hyper Burst Pro™ supercritical foam for energy return and a full-length Quantum Plate™ inspired by Voronoi design principles to maximize propulsion.

Additional technologies include HYPER ARC® geometry for efficient running mechanics, a breathable Woven Jacquard upper, and a Lite Grip™ TPU outsole for multi-surface traction. The launch is positioned as a strategic move toward major global sporting events, including the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
