Skechers signs elite runner Shelby Houlihan

Skechers has signed American middle- and long-distance runner Shelby Houlihan to its performance roster. Houlihan, a 14-time U.S. National Champion and the American record holder in the 1500m, will be the first athlete to represent the brand’s technical AERO Series.

The partnership follows a period of transition for Houlihan, who spent approximately 20 months without a shoe sponsor after serving a four-year suspension for an anti-doping rule violation. While Houlihan has denied intentional use of prohibited substances, the Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld the ban following a positive test in 2020.

Houlihan is currently training for the 2027 racing season and will appear in upcoming Skechers brand campaigns. The deal provides Skechers with a high-profile elite athlete to anchor its performance footwear business.
