Skiathos authorities investigate minor's allegations of sexual abuse and extortion

Authorities in Skiathos, Greece, are investigating a serious allegation of repeated sexual abuse and extortion involving two minors. A 15-year-old boy reported to local police that he had been subjected to continuous sexual abuse and physical violence by a 17-year-old student since 2023.

The victim alleged that the 17-year-old used recorded video material of the acts as a means of blackmail, threatening to release the content on the internet and within the school environment to force compliance. The situation came to light after the 17-year-old reportedly confronted the 15-year-old at his summer workplace.

Following the report, the 17-year-old and his father were brought in for questioning. The father faces charges for neglect of supervision of a minor. Police have seized the 17-year-old's mobile phone for forensic examination to determine if the alleged incriminating video material exists. The 17-year-old has denied the accusations, claiming that the relationship was consensual and based on friendship. A formal investigation is underway covering charges including continuous rape, child pornography, and physical harm to a vulnerable person.
