Skin care experts recommend combined treatments for UV damage and thermal aging

Following exposure to intense summer sunlight, dermatologists are highlighting the need for complex skin treatments that address both pigmentation and skin elasticity. UV exposure not only darkens existing blemishes, freckles, and melasma but also damages the collagen and elastic fibers in the dermal layer, leading to photoaging.

Experts suggest that treating only visible pigmentation may be insufficient. Integrated approaches, such as ‘triple toning’—which combines Revlite SI lasers for pigment, Virtue RF for skin texture and regeneration, and Juvelook skin boosters for collagen production—are gaining attention. These methods aim to restore the skin's structural integrity alongside evening out skin tone.

Additionally, the concept of ‘thermal aging’ is a significant concern. High skin temperatures can activate collagen-degrading enzymes, leading to a breakdown of the dermal structure. This often manifests as chronic inner dryness, enlarged pores, and loss of elasticity. Skin boosters are being utilized to deliver active ingredients like hyaluronic acid directly into the dermal layer to rebuild the skin barrier and restore moisture that topical creams may fail to reach.
