Skive Kommune launches initiative to strengthen school communities

Skive Kommune has launched a new competence development program aimed at strengthening general communities within local schools and daycare centers. Part of the ‘Strong Schools and Daycare’ vision, the initiative seeks to improve well-being, learning, and participation for children and young people.

In collaboration with Nordic Learning and inclusion expert Torben Bloksgaard, teachers, pedagogues, and resource persons will spend the coming year working with new tools to create inclusive learning environments. The goal is to better meet diverse student needs within mainstream settings, potentially reducing the long-term requirement for specialized services.

This initiative follows a leadership development program and is supported by a 10 million DKK investment from the City Council into ‘2-adult schemes’ across all mainstream public schools. School Chief Peter Fogde Mikkelsen stated that the program is an investment in both employees and youth to ensure they can develop academically, socially, and personally.
