Skive Kommune school community initiatives
Overview
Skive Kommune has introduced a competence development program designed to strengthen communities within local schools and daycare centers. Part of the ‘Strong Schools and Daycare’ vision, the initiative focuses on improving well-being, learning, and participation for children and young people.
In collaboration with inclusion expert Torben Bloksgaard, educators and staff will utilize new tools to foster inclusive learning environments. The program aims to meet diverse student needs within mainstream settings, which may reduce the long-term necessity for specialized services. This effort is supported by a 10 million DKK investment from the City Council into ‘2-adult schemes’ across all mainstream public schools. School Chief Peter Fogde Mikkelsen described the program as an investment in both employees and youth to support academic, social, and personal development.
