Skoda and Cupra drive electric vehicle growth in Europe

The European electric vehicle market is seeing significant activity from Volkswagen Group brands. The Skoda Elroq, a compact SUV positioned between smaller models and the larger Enyaq, has become a top-selling electric vehicle in Europe. The Elroq features a modernized multimedia system and efficient components, offering a spacious interior comparable to the Octavia despite its smaller footprint.

Simultaneously, Cupra has reported record-breaking performance, delivering over 170,000 vehicles in the first half of 2026. This growth is driven largely by a 18.5% increase in electric vehicle deliveries during the second quarter. The brand's latest launch, the Cupra Raval, has seen order volumes double initial forecasts, marking the most successful premiere in the brand's history.
