Skoda India to increase car prices by up to ₹20,000
Skoda India has announced a price increase for its vehicle lineup effective October 1. The price hike, which ranges up to 1.2 percent per model, will result in a maximum increase of ₹20,000 per vehicle.
The company attributed the adjustment to rising input and operational costs, specifically citing the increasing prices of raw materials such as steel, metal, and essential auto parts, alongside higher supply chain and factory expenses.
The price adjustment comes during a period of significant growth for the brand. Skoda reported record sales in the current year, with over 50,000 units sold through August, marking an 8 percent year-on-year increase. Models such as the Kushaq, Slavia, and Kylaq have seen strong consumer demand.
Additionally, the company is scheduled to launch the Slavia facelift on October 6.
