Skoda Karoq reaches 1 million units produced, next generation planned for 2027

Skoda Auto announced that its Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic has produced the one‑millionth Karoq SUV. The milestone vehicle is a commemorative 1.5 TSI model delivering 110 kW, finished in Graphite Grey.

The Karoq, introduced in 2017, is now sold in about 60 markets and is one of the brand's best‑selling SUVs. Skoda expects the next‑generation Karoq to launch in late 2027 or early 2028. All Karoq units are built at Kvasiny, which also assembles the Octavia and Kodiaq and recorded a production record of 301,500 cars in 2025. From May 2026 the plant will also produce the Octavia Combi.

Current Karoq variants include a range of petrol (1.0‑2.0 TSI) and diesel (2.0 TDI) engines, with power outputs from 85 kW to 140 kW and front‑ or all‑wheel drive options. Approximately 73 % of buyers choose automatic transmissions. Germany, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom are its top markets. The model has earned several awards, such as the Red Dot Design Award and "Car of the Year 2018" in the Czech Republic.
