Skoda launches Peaq electric SUV while MG unveils MGS9 hybrid seven‑seat model

Czech automaker Skoda presented the Peaq, its largest ever electric SUV at 4.87 m long, offering seven seats, up to 640 km range and a 935‑litre boot in five‑seat configuration. The vehicle follows Skoda’s Enyaq, Elroq and Epiq line‑up and features a 13.6‑inch vertical touchscreen, “Modern Solid” styling and an evolved VW Group MEB platform.

MG Motor introduced the MGS9, a plug‑in hybrid SUV measuring nearly 5 m in length and priced around €38,000 after a weight‑based tax exemption. It seats seven, provides about 92 km of electric range, and includes premium equipment such as heated seats, tri‑zone climate control and semi‑autonomous driving aids. Both models aim to fill the market gap left by the decline of traditional monospaces, offering spacious family transport with either full electric or hybrid powertrains.
