Skoda Peaq electric SUV unveiled with seven‑seat interior and extensive testing
Skoda will introduce the Peaq, its largest fully electric SUV, on 23 June. The model seats up to seven passengers and offers a range of more than 600 km on a single charge. The interior, named the “Lodge” concept, features a spacious cabin with a standing central infotainment screen, a vertical touchscreen, and a mix of tactile physical controls. Wireless phone charging zones and ergonomic armrests are also included.
During development the Peaq prototypes covered over 1.5 million kilometres across Europe, North America and Africa, including extreme conditions such as the Arizona desert and the Arctic Circle where temperatures dropped below –40 °C. Tests validated durability of bodywork, paint, brakes, suspension and heating systems, as well as the reliability of electronic components. The vehicle is built on Volkswagen Group’s MEB+ platform and will be positioned above Skoda’s Enyaq, Epiq and Elroq models.
The global launch will be streamed live by the brand, marking the start of production later in the year.
