Skoda expands electric lineup with new Epiq compact SUV

Skoda is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the Epiq, a compact B-SUV designed to be the brand's most affordable and accessible entry into the electric market. Built on the new MEB+ platform, the Epiq is a sibling to the Volkswagen ID. Polo and ID. Cross, and is also manufactured at the Landaben plant in Spain.

Reviewers and technical data highlight the Epiq's efficiency and practicality. Despite its compact length of approximately 4.17 meters, the vehicle offers a surprisingly spacious interior and a large 475-liter boot. The model range includes various battery options, with the higher-end Epiq 55 providing up to 440 km of range and 211 hp.

This strategic move follows the success of Skoda's Elroq and Enyaq models. The company is also evaluating long-term shifts in its product portfolio, including the potential for the Vision O concept to eventually replace or consolidate segments currently held by the Octavia and Superb as the brand transitions toward an all-electric future.
